Therapy for Black Kids (T4BK) was founded by Dr. Erlanger "Earl" Turner. As a psychologist and mental health advocate, Dr. Earl is passionate about changing the narratives around seeking therapy in the Black community. In the midst of the "racism pandemic" of 2020, he felt that Black kids and teens were being neglected from conversations despite the stress and negativity they experience often in society. T4BK was created to help parents deal with the challenges of racial injustice and foster resilience to promote healthy development. T4BK operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Turner Psychological & Consulting Services, LLC.
Mission
Our mission is to offer educational information and resources to parents to promote healthy emotional development and resilience among Black children, teens, and their families.
